Summer Edge: Fun-Paced Learning at McLean School of Maryland

MSA Tennis & Enrichment Summer Camp

Entering K - grade 3

Montgomery Sports Association (MSA) is offering a unique tennis and enrichments summer camps for kids entering kindergarten through grade 3 at the McLean School in Potomac, MD. Our famous Tennis summer camps use USTA QuickStart coaching approach to achieve accelerated learning and improvements of campers’ tennis skills. QuickStart Tennis is the USTA’s kid-sized, age-appropriate format for teaching kids of all ages the “sport for a lifetime.” Tennis has always taught kids valuable character-building life skills like integrity, sportsmanship, dedication, determination and teamwork. QuickStart has changed the teaching approach from traditional instruction to “play to learn” with a competency progression, which helps kids experience success early on. QuickStart adds FUN fitness and conditioning activities that work on agility, balance, coordination, footwork and reaction time. In addition to Tennis, the camp offers enrichment activities that include: Rocketry, Magic, Chess and weekly Grand Tournament, Creative Arts and crafts, and Martial Arts.

In the morning, the Campers will learn and play tennis, and in the afternoon they participate in enrichment activities. The children will be placed into three groups depending on their tennis skills. These groups are: Beginners, Intermediate and Advance level. Our coaching staff will assess the campers’ tennis abilities on the 1st day of the camp and place them in the appropriate group.

Our Tennis Coaching staff is from Arthur Ashe’s Tennis School Pros. The enrichments are taught by highly qualified professionals: professional magicians, art teachers, and Chess & Martial arts grand masters.
