Summer Edge: Fun-Paced Learning at McLean School of Maryland

Geometry

For the student seeking math instruction focused on logical thinking and real-world applications, this class is ideal. Geometric postulates and theorems are explored through inductive reasoning, while algebraic formulas are applied and reviewed. Students cover triangles, circles, area, and volume, among other geometric concepts. The class uses the textbook Geometry: Concepts and Applications (Glencoe). Because this is a credit course, in addition to 3 hours of class each day, students should expect an additional 3 hours of work outside of class.

Department Chair and Division Head approval is required for McLean School students to receive credit.
