K’nex™ Amusement Park Physics

Design and build the the best amusement park ride ever! Maybe it’s a sideways triple-loop rollercoaster or a giant water slide with dips and turns or a high-speed spinner ride. Wonder Kids inventioneers will help you build whatever your imagination can conceive. On Day 1, brainstorm and draw a model of your ride, explaining how it moves. On Days 2 and 3, improve your ride with an understanding of scientific ideas such as friction, speed, acceleration, potential and kinetic energy, and centripetal and centrifugal force. Then on Days 4 and 5, use Wonder Kids! materials to build and test a working model of your original ride. Finally, on Friday afternoon, add your ride to our Twister Mountain Amusement Park and demonstrate how it works—if you dare!

Each camper will receive one miniature K’nex™ Amusement Park Set with registration. Sets may vary.
