As counselors-in-training, teens entering grades 9 and 10 spend their session working with young campers and learning the ins and outs of effective camp counseling. CITs also learn child development fundamentals, CPR, first aid and résumé writing in daily sessions. Paired with a teacher or senior counselor, CITs develop leadership and counseling skills to help launch them into camp counseling jobs in the future. In order to volunteer during the summer in any of our programs, teens must successfully complete this two-week program.
